Our boy needs a new home. Approx 1 year old. He came to us 5 months ago under the impression he was a well-trained, family dog. He is both of those things now but still needs a lot of training and time which we didn’t account for. Has been with a trainer weekly for the last 5 months and has improved immensely but is still reactive to strangers and will occasionally try to nip at other dogs. We have a two year old son who he has always been good with but we are concerned about his behaviour with other dogs worsening. Rehoming is Mavericks last hope. It breaks our heart to see him go but we need to put our children’s safety first. Getting good on a lead but can only be walked in locations with minimal distractions. Does really well at doggy daycare, is crate trained and an amazing family dog for us. He needs a better quality of life that’s outside of our home and not in constant anxiety driven by our loud toddler. We want him to have the life that he deserves and unfortunately we can’t give that to him.
