Meet the gorgeous Teddy, a charming 5yo male Sharpei Mastiff mix, neutered and ready for his forever home. He would thrive in an environment with a secure 1.8m fence or on a farm, adores human company, and is great with older children (aged 5+). While Teddy has a loving personality, he’s not compatible with cats or chickens, but with proper introduction, he may get along with other neutered dogs.
Background: Though Teddy’s life before 3yo remains a mystery, he’s been a cherished family member for nearly 2 years, following a 7 month stay at the SPCA, where he was the staff favourite.
Personality: Teddy is a laid-back, affectionate dog who loves cuddles and people, charming whoever he meets. He occasionally exhibits playful “mouthiness,” his family has been working to reduce this behavior, and it’s now rare. On-leash walks are preferred, as he is sometimes defensive around other dogs. He enjoys daily walks lasting 20-30 minutes.
Training: Teddy has responded exceptionally well to training. He no longer pulls on walks, waits for meals patiently, and is eager to be a “good boy.”
Routine: He spends 2 days a week at Annie’s Doggy Day-Care and accompanies mum to work three days a week, where he’s a favourite among coworkers despite the occasional surprise in the form of sneaky farts.
Reasons for Rehoming: Due to recent life changes, including a demanding schedule and career commitments, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we may not be the best match for Teddy anymore, however, our love for him compels us to seek the best possible home where he can flourish.
Adoption Process: Interested in Teddy? Arrange meetings with us for joint activities, walks, and a “stay-over” to ensure compatibility.
