** Meet Hudson, 2.5yr old German Shorthaired Pointer looking for his forever home **
Hudson recently came to us from Christchurch, he was needing a new home due to his previous owner moving and not being able to take him.
He has been with us a few weeks now and has made so much progress already, he’s a very smart boy! He doesn’t seem to have had any lead training so we’ve been working on that with him, he’s still pulling but has started sitting at roads and listening more to commands. He has so much potential for anyone with patience to train him, unfortunately he never had this before.
He has great recall off leash at the beach, loves running after his ball and seems ok with other dogs. He whines at other dogs when on the lead but that’s very new to him still. Loves trying to chase cats – definitely needs a cat free household! Kids have approached him at the beach for pats and he was gentle and not phased at all.
We have registered him with Auckland Council and registered his microchip. He’s had a vet check-up, his annual vaccinations and also needed a broken nail removed which we’ve sorted. We have a dog already who isn’t happy to share her house, not something we expected. It’s causing some friction so it’s not fair to either of them.
Hudson deserves a loving home where he’s the centre of attention and gets all the cuddles! He’s very affectionate and loves nothing more than snuggling on the couch.
Were happy to remain foster mum and dad for now, we only want him to go to a suitable home and are not rushing anything – he’s an amazing dog and deserves the absolute best ❤️
